The Town Hall Hotel’s transformation is anchored in a conservation‑led approach that safeguards the building’s Grade II* architectural character while enabling its renewed life. The project restores the historic fabric with precision, revealing original Edwardian and 1930s features, and re-establishes the building’s civic grandeur through careful spatial reintegration. Contemporary additions—including the rooftop extension—are conceived not as appendages but as abstract, finely crafted insertions that form a respectful architectural backdrop to the existing structure. Developed through a synthesis of traditional craftsmanship and advanced manufacturing techniques, these new elements articulate a clear dialogue between past and present. Our guiding principle lies in extending the building’s legacy by designing for longevity, adaptability and future maintenance, ensuring that heritage significance, material integrity and contemporary functionality coexist in a balanced and enduring architectural whole.
