Mala Residence

Residential Condominium in Heritage Site

Surrounded by beautiful 18th and 19th-century Mansion blocks, the project creates a luxury condominium organized around a central garden. Its striking design features contemporary façade relief with depth and volume articulated by a series of stepped reveals, creating a subtle sense of movement through a panelized modular stone façade system. The slim frameless glass windows project from the stone façade, made of natural travertine stone. The rhythm from the existing window alignments along the large double bays of the heritage-listed buildings creates a fenestration logic for the façade with tall bays corresponding to the structural grid of the site. These bays are proportionally divided into solid stone façades and windows, with some double bays divided by a floor fire separation internally, creating a sense of grandeur along all façades.
