We were delighted to be amongst the shortlisted firms for the future International Slavery Museum – National Museums Liverpool – in partnership with Henneghan Peng and Donald Insall. All the best to NML on this fantastic project. I was particularly touched by NML’s political and reconciliatory ambitions to both represent contemporary identity and acknowledge head on the history of the transatlantic slave trade as an integral part of maritime history, tying the two museums together. A brave and exciting project and a great privilege to have been selected on the shortlist.
Thanks to our great co-consultants Henneghan Peng Architects , Donald Insall Associates, chapmanbdsp, Price & Myers, Plan A, FLM, PBC, Place and Anti-Slavery International for the many intense conversations and stories which were shared in the development of this project.
Congratulations to Adjaye Associates and Ralph Appelbaum Associates.
